The renovation of the National Archaeological Museum in Reggio Calabria, carried out on occasion of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, consisted not only in the restoration of the building designed in the 1930s by Marcello Piacentini, but also in the general reorganization of the exhibition spaces. In fact, the exhibition itinerary was completely rethought, beginning with the central atrium and the room which houses the Riace bronzes, the true gem of the museum.

Product used

Colours Road and Office from the OVER collection were chosen for the ceramic floors, mainly in the 90x90cm format (14mm thickness). The refined effect of the concrete and the anthracite colour, in stark contrast with the white architectural elements and exhibition spaces, separates the floor from the exhibition space, dramatically enhancing the latter.
