This ‘extended information notice’, which updates and supplements any previous versions, has been drawn up and customised specifically for this site in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), as well as the Provision of 8 May 2014 issued by the Data Protection Authority, as amended and refined by the ‘Cookies and other tracking tools guidelines’ of 10 June 2021.

It also complements the further information notices on the site, in combination with which it provides all the elements required by Article 13 of the GDPR, as well as the further Provisions of the Data Protection Authority.

Important warning

We inform all third parties that the use of this information, or even just parts of it, on other websites in respect of which would certainly not be relevant and/or incorrect and/or inconsistent, may result in the imposition of heavy sanctions by the Privacy Commissioner.

Subject of information

Our company uses technologies in these web pages that make use of so-called ‘cookies’, in order to collect certain information about the user, among which certain personal data may be included. Consequently, the purpose of this information notice is to explain to the user in a clear and precise manner the purposes and methods of their use.

This document supersedes and replaces in its entirety any previous information provided by the company with regard to cookies, which are to be considered outdated.

Definition of ‘Cookies’

Cookies are text strings (small files) that the websites visited (‘first parties’) or different websites or web servers (‘third parties’) place and store in a terminal device available to the user (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.), and then transmit them back to the same sites that sent them, during the same user's next visit.

Cookies used by this website and their purposes

The cookies used on this website are of the following types:

  1. Technical cookies: allow the user to achieve optimal and fast navigation through the website and the efficient use of services and/or the various options it offers, allowing for example a purchase to be made or access to restricted areas to be authenticated. These cookies are necessary to improve the usability of the website and their use does not require the user's consent.
  2. Anonymous statistical cookies: these are anonymous and aggregated analysis web tools, that collect information on how users use the site, how they got there, the number and duration of visits, etc. These cookies allow you to implement improvements to the website, which facilitate access by users and the collection of statistics. These cookies are similar to technical cookies and their use does not require the user's consent.
  3. Profiling/marketing cookies: these are tools that make it possible to create a detailed ‘profile’ of the individual user, which is then used to send targeted advertising. In particular, when the user enters the website, information is collected, through the study of behaviour within the individual pages visited, on his or her habits, tastes, favourite products, etc. This then allows our company, and possibly third parties, to ‘catalogue’ the user and show/send him/her personalised advertising. These cookies can only be used with the explicit consent of the user, who can make his or her choices via the banner and/or via the link that can be reached from the footer of the website and that can also be found at the bottom of this extended information notice.

‘Third-party’ cookies

So-called ‘third-party’ cookies are cookies that may be installed on the user's terminal equipment by the operators of third-party sites, through this site, for the various purposes listed above.

Browser settings

Please also note that the user can configure, freely and at any time, their privacy parameters in connection with the installation and use of all cookies, directly through their navigation program (browser) and following the instructions.

In particular, the user can set-up so-called "private browsing", thanks to which their navigation program interrupts the saving of historical data on sites visited, any passwords entered, cookies and other information about the pages visited.

Be aware that if you choose to disable all the cookies (including those of a technical nature), the quality and speed of services offered by this website could worsen drastically and you could lose access to some sections of the site.

Legal basis of processing

For anonymous technical and statistical cookies, processing is necessary to optimise the user's navigation of the site and enable him/her to easily use the services requested.

For profiling cookies, the legal basis is the optional consent given by the user, which can be revoked in full and/or changed at any time.

Withdrawal or change of consent

The user may revoke and/or change his or her choices at any time by accessing the link that can be found in the footer of the website, as well as at the end of this extended information notice.

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

The data may be disclosed to third parties in order to fulfil legal obligations, as well as to satisfy the user's choices and/or requests. The data will not be shared under any circumstances.

Persons authorised to process

The data will only be processed by specially authorised and designated employees.

Rights of the data subject

The data subject has all the rights established by the European Regulation, such as the right to request access to the data and their correction, the cancellation of the same, the limitation of treatment, the right to oppose their treatment, in addition to the right to the portability of data. He/she also has the right to lodge a complaint or report to the Supervisory Authority, which in this case is the Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei dati Personali), or to appeal to the Judicial Authority.

Transfers to third countries

Any transfer of personal data to a third country outside the European Union or to an international organization will take place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the Commission or, in the case of transfers referred to in Articles 46, 47 or 49, second paragraph, of the European Regulation, on the basis of appropriate and suitable safeguards.

Data retention period

The data will be kept for the period strictly necessary to meet the requests of the data subject or in accordance with the provisions of current regulations.
