14MM Stoneware: Thickness and Durability Built to Last

Cotto d'Este 14MM porcelain stoneware tiles are three times more resistant to breakage and impact than standard porcelain stoneware. The extra thickness — unique in the industry — allows for a longer firing cycle that renders the surface impervious to staining, washable with water alone, and unable to absorb dirt in depth. The wear and frost resistance guarantee extends to 20 years.

Also available in large formats such as 90x90, 60x120 and 120x120 cm, the 14MM guarantees perfect flatness even in running bond installations, with grout joints that can be reduced to a minimum — the finished surface neither yields nor deforms. Finishes range from lapped to natural matte, always in tone with the full-body porcelain mix, a chromatic consistency maintained even in the thinnest cuts.

The range of applications is extensive: kitchens, living areas, bathrooms and high-traffic commercial spaces. Resistance to chemical agents and indelible staining makes these surfaces suitable even where daily demands are most intense. Where the project calls for it, 14MM surfaces are also available with integrated Protect® antibacterial technology, active without interruption.

The 14MM colour ranges are coordinated with those of the KERLITE slabs: designers working on projects that combine different thicknesses within the same space can maintain chromatic continuity without compromise.
