The Secret Garden

Cotto d’Este will be participating in Milano Design Week celebrating the beauty, exclusivity, allure, and versatility of its collections.

Cotto d’Este, the premium brand of Panariagroup, which has been a trailblazer of innovation for the entire ceramic industry since its very inception, will be participating in Milano Design Week (17-23 April, 2023), celebrating the beauty, exclusivity, allure, and versatility of its collections. Thus, Milano Design Week will kickoff a series of activities that will showcase the unique and outstanding products of a brand that, for 30 years, has produced and delivered uncompromising innovation and quality.

For the occasion, the showroom located at Via Quintino Sella 5, in the evocative setting of Piazza Castello, will transform into a dreamlike and fantasy space in which new ways of looking at design are forged. Ceramic sculptures and spectacular walls inspired by nature will invite the public to enter this Secret Garden made up of textures, architecture, and creativity:  a metaphor for the opportunities that Cotto d’Este’s surfaces and cladding offer to designers, and a tribute to nature, which has always been a focus and a source of inspiration for the brand.

The Secret Garden will be an opportunity to promote, above all, two outstanding collections: Pura, a tribute to balance and simplicity, and Wonderwall, one of the brand’s most eclectic series.

Showcasing of the brand’s ability to skilfully embody the best of Made in Italy, The Secret Garden is also an occasion to celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary and, with it, the innovations that have characterised the evolution of the ceramic sector on a global scale. Such as ultra-thin slabs, the utmost expression of technology, aesthetics, and sustainability. Thanks to a 2/3 reduction in the traditional thickness, these slabs make it possible to consume less energy, raw materials, and water, plus have a reduced impact on transport, and are the first 100% carbon neutral ceramic surface on the market.  But that’s not all. Ultra-thin slabs make it possible to use the revolutionary and patented laying system, Kerlite Easy, with which one can dry lay the product, thus avoiding the creation of debris from the demolition of the previous floors, recover the slabs in the case of a move, and plan projects that take advantage of circular economy.

To further emphasise the important and leading role which the brand has played in the history of Italian architecture and interior design, Cotto d’Este will also appear in the Solferino Design Week with a project curated by Corriere della Sera, Living e Abitare which will be set up in the historic headquarters of Corriere della Sera on Via Solferino, and that will open its doors to the public for the first time. With a display designed by the Migliore and Servetto studio, Corriere della Sera will celebrate time and the evolution of habits, styles, and tastes. A perfect context for Cotto d’Este which, over the course of the past 30 years, has helped to guide the evolution of ceramic materials towards increasingly sustainable and innovative architectural applications.
