For the development of the project, the WJNO firm paid special attention to the choice of materials, selecting those that not only met the demands of a sophisticated and minimalist aesthetic, but also aligned with the project’s environmental and sustainability requirements. It is for this reason that Limestone by Cotto d’Este stood out, a collection that highlights the stratified beauty of seabed deposits, set in stone thanks to the patience of water and time. This collection offers an elegant and modern interpretation of this material, which combines the most beautiful veining with subtle hues.
Specifically, the Limestone collection in its Kerlite5plus version and in the delicate shade of Clay with a Naturale finish was chosen for the furniture cladding: large 300 x 100 cm slabs with a thickness of just 5.5 mm which, thanks to their versatility, flexibility, and durability, function as a perfect “ceramic skin”, enhancing the surfaces on which they have been applied and inserting themselves harmoniously into the overall design of the living room.
These over-sized ultra-thin Kerlite slabs are Cotto d’Este’s flagship product and the result of exclusive technology that significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions, the latter being completely offset through participation in international sustainable mobility projects.
Their functionality is further enhanced by PROTECT® technology, through which surfaces are equipped with an incorporated silver-ion-based antibacterial shield that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria, for cleaner and healthier environments.
