The project

The Maladiere Centre is a new shopping centre in Neuchatel, Switzerland and is part of a single structure 198 m in length and 115 m wide consisting of 6 floors (3 of which underground) that host a football stadium, shops and recreational facilities.

Cotto D’Este material was chosen because its technical and aesthetic qualities enable it to satisfy the particular needs of a shopping centre of this type. The aesthetics of Cotto D’Este marry perfectly with the  modern architectural vision of the building and its elegant shops.

Product used

The particular ease of working with Cotto D’Este tiles also made it possible to create some very ambitious curved cuts, installing them with minimal grout lines and therefore satisfying the aesthetic requirements of this major project. At the same time, the elevated resistance of the triple-pressed 14 mm-thick material makes it possible to move large loads along the corridors of the shopping mall. Thanks to its high level of stain resistance (class 5, the best according to the ISO 10545-14 standard) and chemical resistance (ISO 10545-13), Cotto D’Este facilitates the daily maintenance of large, highly-trafficked floors like those of the shopping centre.

Slowing down today, to come back stronger tomorrow.

Today more than ever, doing business demands a strong sense of responsibility as well as the ability to be flexible, in particular at a time as dramatically complex as the one we’ve been living through over the past few weeks due to the Covid-19 situation.

Right from the start we instituted a series of strict rules for the purpose of safeguarding the health and safety of our employees in the workplace, in full respect of the regulations passed by the Italian government.

Now we have decided to temporarily halt manufacturing in our Italian sites, which will remain closed for three weeks as of this Friday 20th March because of an external economic situation that is momentarily impacting negatively the market.

Nevertheless, the company is not closing.

We are here for you, and for those who wish to continue choosing our products and to whom we will guarantee the best commercial assistance and an efficient delivery service.

We are still here, with our continuous innovation and our ongoing research into new products and solutions that we will soon be proud to launch.

We will come back even stronger than before, ready for the new challenges that await us!
