The new Tiburtina Station in Rome designed by ABDR is a result of an international architecture competition dating in 2002. An international, regional and metropolitan node designed as a bridge-station between two districts, Pietralata and Nomentano, which have been historically separated by the railway line. The huge block is a 240m long glass parallelepiped suspended at nine metres above the existing rail tracks, measuring fifty meters in width at a constant height of 10.5m and divided into eight volumes for the services offered to travellers and local citizens.
