In the kitchen area, the Limestone collection in KERLITE 5plus, selected in the Clay shade, was used to clad the island and worktop, extending to the fitted wall unit. The result is a compact, monolithic volume in which the textured surface recalls the essentialness of natural stone and reinforces the minimalist language of the entire project. The surface thus becomes a continuous architectural element, capable of combining formal rigour and sensory depth. The ultra-thin thickness and the fully CO2-compensated nature of KERLITE 5plus also integrate seamlessly into a design vision that brings together traditional construction systems and next-generation materials, contributing to high standards of energy efficiency, comfort and environmental responsibility.
For the floors, a custom made solution by Cotto d'Este, realised in the exclusive 14 mm thickness, defines a coherent dialogue between indoor and outdoor. In the interior spaces, the choice of a dark, near-black tone amplifies the perception of space through the absorption of natural light, generating a sharp contrast with the light vertical surfaces and enhancing the diffused brightness that flows throughout the villa.
Outside, the same material matrix is reinterpreted with a more structured finish, designed to guarantee performance and safety while maintaining visual continuity with the interior spaces. The absence of architectural barriers makes this transition even more fluid, transforming floor and landscape into a single perceptual system.
Villa Tenca thus becomes an emblematic example of how Cotto d'Este surfaces can contribute to building impressive architecture where aesthetics, technology and material integrate into a unified design language, capable of expressing a sophisticated and timeless vision of living.
