The Mouvement Reformateur, a Belgian political party, has its head offices in a building in the centre of Bruxelles. Large windows at street level create an air of involvement, close to the voters, an osmosis between indoors and outdoors. A mezzanine has been built over a large open space, whilst the area which overlooks the street has been kept in its original height.
The floors have been tiled using large slabs of BUXY Cendre, measuring 119x59.4, with a straightforward pattern. A long wall with some inbuilt TV screens which are visible from the street has been tiled using the same layout. At the same height of the screens, the slabs of Cendre have been halved to create a certain movement in the wall and to focus attention on the screens themselves, and to prevent the impact of the row of large slabs from being too flat.
