Spread over an area of more than 14 square kilometres in the south-west of the city of Shanghai, the Caohejing Hi-Tech Park project is a district that is home to 3,600 national and international companies, shops and research centres. The park comprises a veritable innovation ecosystem that focuses on research and development in the following sectors: automotive, aerospace engineering, biological medicine, adoption of new materials and use of clean energy. The facilities also include a network operations centre, a financial data centre and a technical innovation centre. All the architectural solutions within the park place a particular emphasis on environmental friendliness. The park’s design is inspired by traditional oriental gardens, offering a contemporary reinterpretation.
High-quality Cotto d’Este coverings are featured in the lobby and in the lift of the headquarters in the innovative Hi-Tech park in Shanghai, revealing remarkable depth effects. Irregular geometric designs create spaces dominated by white and by large windows, which provide brightness and light reflections thanks to the choice of the materials used. The Exedra collection was used, in the Calacatta Silk version and in the large 300x100 cm format. Inspired by the allure of marble, it conveys spatial cleanliness and a relaxing sense of comfort. Exedra proposes a selection of finishes created using enamel jet technology, ensuring absolute fidelity to the original stone and a variety of graphic patterns that make each slab unique. Finally, the collection is part of the PROTECT® range, guaranteeing high-performance antibacterial surfaces for safe and protected living spaces.
